The Smartly platform is shaped by the continuous feedback we receive from our most advanced customers. Smartly Connects were born out of the very same philosophy – we were looking for an engaging way to bring online advertisers together to share their knowledge with a wider audience. 

Smartly Connects are a series of pop-up events around the world, created to foster local communities for paid social experts – hence the name ‘Connect.’ 

At these events, advertisers can access the latest tips and tricks on how to grow and acquire customers online with Facebook campaigns.

A Half-Day Mini Conference

We realized that the classic (read: passive) conference format wouldn’t cut it for our audience. To maximize learning, interactive is the way to go.

We want to serve our customers and partners in the best possible way. In this case, it means facilitating knowledge shares from various backgrounds and industries. At Smartly Connects, top performance marketers share their successes, challenges, and experiences with each other.

Setting the Theme

The event kicks off with a keynote that sets the tone for the event. For instance, the past 2017 Connects focused on discussing best practices from around the world. As works with some of the largest global advertisers (such as eBay and JustFab), our experts took the stage to shed light on how large brands automate and optimize their campaigns at scale. 

The keynote is followed by a fireside chat with one of our customers. The advertiser explains their approach to Facebook advertising and what has worked for them. The audience loves this part and often asks a lot of questions, making it one of the most valuable sessions in the event.

Depending on the region and city, we also include smaller group sessions into the agenda. This is a perfect opportunity to ask specific questions both from our experts and people working at Facebook – participants can delve deeper into various aspects of Facebook advertising.

Paid social experts often work in a bubble – it’s refreshing to talk face-to-face to colleagues and share experiences. Connect events average 50 attendees. If each of them has at least three years of experience in Facebook advertising, that would amount to a total of 150 years of expertise.
