Smartly.io Now Works with Google Merchant Center Feeds for Shopping Ads

One of our most beloved features among our customers is the easiness of creating Dynamic Ads and Automated Ads for Facebook. Simply enter your feed, and Smartly.io takes care of the feed mapping and processing of creating beautiful and scalable creatives.
We are excited to announce that we are now able to push the same feed through our Google Merchant Center integration for Shopping Ads. Hence, you can use the same convenient mapping for both your Facebook and Google Ads campaigns.
Below is a step-by-step rundown of how to connect to a Google Merchant Center account and start passing feeds through Smartly.io.
Step 1: Connect Google Merchant Center (GMC) account
Start by adding your Merchant Center ID (9-digit code on the top left of the GMC interface) and your SFTP credentials (on the top right under Settings - SFTP / FTP / GCS), we handle the rest.
Step 2: Add your feed URL and set Update Schedule
Similar to the uploading of feeds for Facebook campaigns, our GMC integration accepts all the same feed formats such as CSV/ TSV, XML and JSON.
Most feed tools are refreshed on a daily basis. However, given the scale and needs of our large scale customers, we have pushed the feature to refresh up to every hour. If you are running flash sales or have very fast-moving inventory, you will be able to maximize your budget by running only relevant product ads at all times.
Step 3: Input your Feed Settings
We have added all the possible country, currency and language pairs to the interface. You only need to select the correct values from the dropdown and we will take care of the rest. We also applied a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) approach on the feed names, so no arcane naming conventions between your Smartly.io feeds and your Google Merchant Center feeds.
Step 4: Feed Mapping and Customization
The most common difficulty advertisers face is with meeting all the requirements for running Shopping campaigns. From formatting Price and Shipping information to optimizing Title and Description fields, it can be a bit daunting to start.
With Liquid Template markup, anyone can create custom rules to amend and customize their feed as much as possible. Create custom values from various attributes, without having to ask your IT department to manage your feed.
