By default, our interview process for all roles is currently fully remote. We have the tools in place to allow for a smooth remote interview process. We use Google Meet as our video communication platform, you can choose and rebook interview slots through Greenhouse, our Applicant Tracking System, and we assess technical ability via platforms including Codility and Github.
We understand that video isn’t everyone's favourite medium for an interview, and we are mindful of its limits and challenges. Our interviewers are trained to conduct remote interviews. Giving you the opportunity to showcase your strengths and personality, as well as the space to ask questions, getting to know Smartly and our Smartlies.
If you run into technical difficulties or the Wi-Fi drops out, don’t panic – it happens to us too! When you can, just let us know what’s going on by dropping an email to your contact in the Talent Acquisition Team or your interviewer, and we will reschedule your interview.
If you need to turn off the camera and pause the interview to help out your children or pets, answer the doorbell, or just grab a glass of water – no problem, just let us know, we do understand!
Where (and when) possible, we will facilitate in-person interviews or visits to our offices. This is only done where it is a safe, legal and responsible thing to do and all parties involved are healthy, comfortable and willing to meet in person. You will never be required to interview in person if you do not feel comfortable doing so.
Restrictions on travel and immigration might delay or affect our ability to relocate new employees to some of our offices. We are still offering relocation and doing our best to relocate people, together with their families, as smoothly as possible, but there may be factors that lead to delays beyond our control. We hope for your understanding on this.
You will receive fair and honest feedback from us during your process. In turn, every candidate has the opportunity to provide us with feedback either directly or anonymously via our candidate survey. If you have an idea for how we can make your experience better, do let us know!
We wish we were in a position to provide certainty on when it might be possible to meet Smartlies in person and visit our offices. However, the reality currently is uncertain and evolving. Rest assured, we are constantly monitoring it and adapting to provide you with the best possible experience!
