We are looking for an experienced Engineering Director to join our Data and Measurement Group. 

The Smartly.io Data and Measurement group is responsible for storing and making available all of the data that our customers use across the suite of Smartly.io products. This includes our reporting capabilities and APIs for fetching performance data, as well as 3rd party measurement integrations and our infrastructure for handling our customers’ feed data, such as product catalogs. We are building a suite of products across multiple advertising channels, so it’s important that we have a fast and easy way of integrating new channels. With this being done we need to also make sure that  our other product teams can then easily leverage that data to build the tools that make our customers successful. As an Engineering Director for the Data and Measurement group you’ll be responsible for building that platform and the related services, APIs and products that our customers love.

Here's What You'll Do...

• Mentor, grow, and empower your teams by giving them the skills, confidence and motivation to make decisions independently that lead to their personal and professional success, and enable them to become technical leaders.
• Improve the ways of working, making sure the organization supports the teams to deliver.
• Think ahead and set the vision and roadmap for your Group of teams.
• Ensure alignment of roadmaps and communicate clear boundaries with other Groups of product teams.
• Partner with recruiting to help scale your development teams by actively sourcing and closing the best talent.
• Bring out the best in the individuals in your teams by enabling them to do the best work of their lives.
• Ensure our services communicate with each other seamlessly, have minimal downtime, and recover quickly.

Here's What We're Looking For...

• Several years of experience successfully managing teams of engineers on large-scale projects
• Experience on working with strong product teams working simultaneously on discovery and delivery
• Ability to set a long-term vision for the team and drive long-term execution towards that vision
• A thorough approach to technical design and execution of large technical projects. Willingness to be hands-on at times and looked up to for technical abilities and experience.
• Good at communicating organizational boundaries, setting expectations with others, and interfacing with product engineering teams
• Able to mentor, coach, and develop engineers to do the best work of their lives. 
• Work towards forging close bonds of strong teams
• Familiarity with large scale data processing and platforms 
• Track record of hiring engineers at scale
