Principal Engineer, Infrastructure Group
We’re looking for a Principal Engineer in the infrastructure group. Infrastructure group manages roughly 1500 server on-premise infrastructure and we also have a presence in the public cloud for our machine learning, data warehousing and some supporting services, and in addition we utilize a variety of other external service providers. We have centralized DevOps, SRE, Security, Data Platform, Customer authentication & authorisation and IT teams within the infrastructure group and we build and operate the engineering foundations for our 200 people product development organization as well as for the rest of the company. We deploy software to production 16000+ times in a year. We have several Petabytes of traffic each month flowing through our infrastructure.
In this role you can utilize a wide scope of knowledge and experience from your previous positions. You will be able to operate both on a strategic level helping us to define the big picture and on a tactical level connecting the dots between teams or even putting hands dirty to kick start green field projects and proof of concepts. Traveling is not required.

- Work or drive larger cross team or cross organizational initiatives through design, hands on work and collaboration
- Innovate with teams on key improvements and continuously asses the technology landscape for opportunities
- Work with other principal engineers, chief architect and CTO to ensure that we can streamline the infrastructure to our development teams with a platform engineering mentality.
We’re looking for you if you have…
- Ideas, vision, tireless mentality for making things better
- 12+ years of practical experience from software development and infrastructure engineering
- Have experience influencing, planning, scoping, and leading large projects across teams
- Experience building and operating software in mid-to-large scale systems
- Good interpersonal skills and ability coordinate work between people
- Mastering or being fluent with many of the technologies or similar alternatives on our tech stack
Bonus points if you have…
- Experience building modern SaaS applications
- Leadership experience
- Production experience in AWS
