In this player coach role at Smartly.io, you’ll put your hunter instincts to use and fuel your drive for accelerating business growth! You will work with leading brands and performance advertisers around the world in order to offer a pioneering and innovative product that is leading our online marketing industry! Your focus will be to help make online advertising easy, effective, and enjoyable for Fortune 500 and D2C clients across multiple verticals in UK & Ireland.

As a Sales Lead at Smartly, you will…

  • Sell the Smartly.io product by identifying, cultivating, and closing new business within the assigned territory targeting enterprise organizations
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with senior stakeholders at your clients.
  • Acquire and maintain a solid understanding of the value proposition of the platform as well as the existing and future needs of new prospects and existing customers
  • Merge the needs of the customers' KPIs and digital advertising strategy with the product offering
  • Partner with Sales Development, Sales Engineering, Partnership and Customer Success teams to cultivate a successful demonstration of our solution, trial, conversion and retention of customers.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate updates to ensure reliable predictability in revenue forecasting
  • Oversee the booking numbers for all of UK & Ireland region
  • Manage and support the sales managers of the region
  • Communicate upwards to the VP of Sales EMEA optimally on your sub team performance and needs
  • Recruit, onboard and develop the growing team of Sales Managers

We are looking for…

  • 5+ years of sales and business development experience in B2B SaaS businesses or corresponding agencies, preferably in digital marketing and paid social.
  • Prior experience leading and mentoring a sales team while continuing to carry a book of business
  • Ability to create connections and engage with a variety of audiences, including C-level decision makers.
  • Existing connections that will open doors in growing verticals like automotive, e-commerce, entertainment, CPG, gaming, retail or travel.
  • Track record of meeting and exceeding quota on a consistent basis
  • Strong desire to learn about our product in order to effectively sell up to the C-suite or down to end users as needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel for meetings, conferences and industry events
