Data Engineer
Location: Helsinki, Commitment Full-Time, Team Software Development
As a Data Engineer you will be developing data driven solutions to help Smartly organisation to identify business critical areas of interest and have a significant personal impact on the data architecture we are building.
Our team of data-engineers and analysts strive to enable smart business decisions based on data. We collect, warehouse, and refine data to support business intelligence, product analysis and sales operations.
Team works closely with multiple teams across the company to build a data infrastructure to support our growing organisation.
Our stack: Snowflake, Airflow (Python), Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, DBT (Data Build Tool), Segment, Fivetran, redash, Tableau
What you will be working with as a Data Engineer:
- Build and maintain data pipelines
- Build alerting and testing solutions to ensure stability and reliability of our data and data pipelines
- Identify, integrate and maintain tooling related to the data infrastructure
- Build integrations to our own and external systems
- Work closely with the data. In order to be agile in our rapidly evolving data-architecture, we do not (at least yet) have strict responsibility boundaries. In practice this means, e.g., data modelling, helping other Smartlies to access the data, and understanding and communicating the downstream dependencies when breaking changes are needed
What we are looking for:
- Fluent with SQL
- Experience working hands on with databases, preferably OLAP databases
- Experience in working with messaging technologies, like RabbitMQ
- Programming experience
It will be considered as a bonus if you have:
- Experience with Snowflake or other cloud OLAP databases
- Data warehouse/data mart modelling experience
- Experience with Airflow or other similar workflow tools
- Python experience
- Data analysis experience
