Associate Account Executive

Location: Sydney, Commitment Full-Time, Team Enterprise Sales

To further accelerate our growth, we are looking for a highly motivated Associate Account Executive based in Sydney to join our Sales team in Asia Pacific!

As an Associate Account Executive at Smartly.io, you will be calling on leading brands and performance advertisers to offer innovative solutions at the cutting edge of the digital marketing industry. You will build and manage trust-based customer relationships with mid-sized advertisers while understanding customer needs and delivering value-based solutions to them. As we have seen, certainly more than ever in the last 200 days, it matters how digital platforms interact with consumers and deliver the right experience for both new and familiar brands.

In this full-cycle sales role, you will engage in prospecting activities including outbound communications, in-person meetings and attending trade shows and conferences to create revenue generating opportunities. You will also respond to inbound marketing leads and/or referrals to and undertake the activities necessary to close business. You will understand our customers' needs, articulate Smartly.io’s value proposition, create proposals and lead negotiations until contracts are signed and deals are closed.

We're definitely looking for you, if you

  • Have 1-2 years of sales, business development and/or account management experience within B2B SaaS companies (preferably advertising/marketing technology) or corresponding agencies.
  • Be able to create connections and engage confidently with a variety of audiences.
  • Are a self-starter with a strong passion for sales and proven success in growing and working within the ANZ region.
  • Think the customers first and are creative in your approach to educate and grow the market.
  • Have a strong interest to learn about the product and domain in order to effectively sell up to C-level decision makers or down to end-users as needed.
  • Look forward to being part of a team of Humble Hungry Hunters dedicated to helping customers grow and get the most value out of their social advertising, delivering world-class support, challenging the status quo and building solutions for business needs and outcomes.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Are able and willing to travel for meetings, conferences and industry events in a post-COVID-19 world.

As an Associate Account Executive at Smartly.io, you will

  • Sell the Smartly.io product by identifying, cultivating and closing new business within the assigned territory targeting mid-sized organizations.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the value proposition of the Smartly.io platform as well as the existing and future needs of new prospects and existing customers.
  • Work closely with the Sales Development Representatives in the region to develop targeted lists, prospecting strategies and messaging to drive opportunities for new business.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline with accurate updates to ensure reliable predictability in revenue forecasting.
  • Collaborate effectively across functions including Customer Success, Marketing, Technical Solutions, Services, Product and Engineering etc to ensure operational excellence.
  • Help Smartly.io build a world-class Sales organization; contribute to build a library of knowledge that differentiates us from competitors and helps win and retain customers, optimize existing processes within the company and actively enhance all Sales initiatives.
