Lead Technical Writer

By joining the Technical Writing team, you will enable the most advanced social media marketers with the best social media advertisement tool on the planet.
This role comes with great responsibility and requires a variety of skills: you’ll serve as a vital link, translator and communicator between customers and our equally world-class product development team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Engineering team that develops our web application, Customers teams that serve our clients, and directly with end customers through our in-app support chat. Your major responsibility will be making sure that the problems you address will not resurface. As a result, you’ll make the customer’s life easier as well as improve our core product. None of your days will be quite alike – exciting times guaranteed!

As a Technical Writer Lead at Smartly.io, you will:
- Analyse the knowledge base usages and prioritise the needs of new articles and article updates
- Coordinate with stakeholders and contributors for articles on new features
- Elevate the quality of the documentation to a world-class standard
- Outline hiring needs to follow the growth of the product and the documentation need
- Structure and execute the transfer of technical writing responsibility from Product Managers to Technical Writers
- Strategise with Product Marketing to elevate and utilize the public knowledge base for lead generation.
- Build technical expertise in Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Snap, Tiktok, Youtube and other major social networks
- Work with the technological challenges of the world’s largest online advertisers, helping them to troubleshoot issues in an expedient and affable manner
- Help to launch products, including supporting alpha and beta features
- Collaborate with the Training organisation to drive education about our platform
- Work in a fast-paced environment while still delivering world class results for the customers

- Have prior experience in technical writing in the capacity of a leader.

- Have fluency in written and spoken American English
