Business Systems Specialist

Location: Helsinki, Commitment Full-time, Team Other

We are seeking an analytical and tech-savvy person to join our business systems team at Smartly.io. As a Business Systems Specialist, you support and develop our business applications, and participate in the evaluation and delivery of new information systems. The position is full time, permanent and based in our headquarters in Helsinki city center.

Our team provides essential business solutions to stakeholders throughout the company — including tools for managing sales, customer relationships, marketing, contracts, invoicing and human resources. In your daily work you will define and configure different applications (e.g. Salesforce and HubSpot) to meet the needs of the end users in our customer, finance, legal and service operations teams. We support our stakeholders in capturing relevant data and transforming it into an actionable format for decision-making.

We are primarily looking to hire this role in-house, but we are also interested in discussing with consultants to support us for shorter periods of time, e.g. six months. We are also happy to see applications from entry-level applicants with a degree in information systems, knowledge management, information technology or related field.

Your main responsibilities in the role are

  • Working proactively in creating and maintaining solutions that enable a global organisation to scale.
  • Ensuring the data our systems provide is accurate for what it is being used for.
  • Analysing and prioritizing requirements with your team.
  • Supporting users in achieving their goals, such as having the ability to collect data they need for decision-making or debugging system errors.
  • Driving success in small-scale IT projects.
  • We're definitely looking for you, if you

  • Are able to define, design, document, configure, and test technical solutions based on business process requirements on a variety of platforms.
  • Have an understanding of applications architecture and how different systems work together, as our team works with several integrations.
  • Communicate well with both business and technical stakeholders and are able to manage their expectations.
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment at the intersection of business and IT.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English.
  • We are also excited if you have any of the following

  • Experience in administering, configuring, or developing Salesforce or other business applications.
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience in building integrations.
