Unboxing and Try On videos are meant to showcase tangible products in a real-life, indisputably believable context. Communities on social platforms are already inclined to advocate for products they love, so, like testimonials, unboxing videos help to establish trust and drive consideration of a product.
Show the products close up, well-lit, and in sharp focus. Show how they arrive, the packaging, the fit, and the feel. Use voiceover to describe what can’t be conveyed in visuals – “The fabric is SO soft.” Be sure to shoot to maintain continuity. Don’t leave any of the good stuff out! Having an unbroken storyline helps your audience trust your content, and gives them a satisfying viewing experience.
Top Tip: Get tactile! Take inspiration from ASMR and the “oddly satisfying” trend to make your videos even more compelling – capture the sounds, textures, and little details that make the unboxing experience so exciting.
