Lauri Tarkkala

Lauri Tarkkala is the Chief Technology Officer at Smartly, the AI-powered advertising technology company transforming ad experiences for brands and their consumers.

He spent the last two and a half decades building scalable internet services, software products and SDKs in multiple verticals, including telecom, mobile, automotive and adtech. He is a seasoned technical product leader and an engineer at heart.

In his role as CTO, Lauri has been leading the transformation of Smartly into a SaaS digital advertising platform, and is now driving adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) into the workflows in digital advertising.

He has an M. Sc. from Helsinki University of Technology (Aalto University) and is currently based in Berlin, Germany.
