DFS set out to drive incremental, efficient revenue across its product catalog by using AI and machine learning to improve creative production and media optimization—without increasing operational complexity or cost.

Solution

To unlock efficiency and scale, DFS partnered with Smartly to implement a two-pronged approach:

•Cross-Platform Budget Automation (XPBA):

DFS created custom metrics for Incremental Revenue and ROAS based on internal MMM data. Using Smartly’s XPBA solution, they pooled budgets and let Smartly optimize spend across Meta and Pinterest to maximize value.

•AI-Powered Creative Production:

With Smartly AI Studio, DFS automated the background removal of catalog product images and generated realistic lifestyle scenes. These AI-generated assets were integrated into dynamic ad templates, streamlining asset production at scale while maintaining brand quality.
